11/11/98 First Show, Bizmo's, East Stroudsburg PA

This is Khantra's (originally spelled Contra) very first show. It was a crazy night for all involved.  After school the band members and friends piled into two minivans (piloted by Adam's mom & Ned's Mom) and treked to Bizmo's music venue in East Stroudsburg PA.  Willis played a full set.  Shawn played a small set of songs by his lonesome (highlights included cover of L7's Pretend That We're Dead and Closing Time by Semisonic) and then stepped behind the drum kit while he, Adam Ned and Mario jammed for awhile. Contra closed the evening with a probably too long set. Highlights included: covers of Floyd the Barber by NIRVANA, Pirates Life by the Vandals, Teenagers from Mars by the Misfits (which Kerry from Willis took on the lead vocals) and was also the premier of a contra song called ZOOMBA which featured TWO BASSES!!!
