In the summer of 2000 Annoying Customer played many times at the Underground in Mt. Lakes NJ. This was a basement youth space that was part of a church/school that provided a place for teens to hang out on weekends in a safe supervised environment. Khantra played at least a couple of these shows. Although the dates and specifics are lost to the sands of time there is some photographic evidence of these shows taking place. These shows were not "unplugged" but the were quieter stripped down versions of how the band would normally play. John (before knowing what bundle sticks were) played the drums with chopsticks. Adam played keyboard on at least one song and they played more covers than would normally happen in a Khantra set. Some highlights were Octopus' Garden (Beatles) and Wave Of Mutilation (Pixies) which was the first time to feature John on vocals!
